Canucks Recall Defenceman Nathan McIver
Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have recalled defenceman Nathan McIver from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
McIver, 21, has tallied one point (0-1-1) and 20 penalty minutes in eight games for the Moose this season. McIver was invited to the Vancouver Canucks 2006 Training Camp and played in three pre-season games, accumulating 21 penalty minutes.
In the 2005-06 season, McIver played in 66 games for the Manitoba Moose, recording seven points (1-6-7) and 155 penalty minutes. The Summerside, Prince Edward Island native also saw action in twelve post-season games and registered 28 penalty minutes.
The 6'1", 210 lbs. defenceman was drafted by Vancouver with their ninth choice, 254th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
