Pumpkin Carving at Canuck Place
OCT.30.06
The faces of the Canuck Place children were glowing more brightly than the pumpkins they carved on Monday afternoon, as Canucks players Markus Naslund, Matt Cooke, Taylor Pyatt, Rory Fitzpatrick, and Alexandre Burrows helped the kids get into the Halloween spirit. Each player buddied up with a special child to carve ghosts and goblins in the faces of their pumpkins, all the while chatting and laughing the afternoon away.
Fin made a special Halloween appearance, specially dressed in costume as a friendly pirate. There were spooky arts and crafts and a yummy Halloween cake to top off the afternoon.
Canuck Place offers specialized care for both child and family when the child is living with a progressive life-limiting illness. This unique healthcare facility serves to enhance quality of life through comprehensive and family-centred care.
