The Canucks looked refreshed on the ice this morning after taking yesterday off. They couldn't quite pull off a win against the Blues on Wednesday but aim to beat the Ducks tonight. The Canucks realize that there are no easy games in the new NHL, so it's going to take energy and work ethic to get the win. Tonight's game is key for the Canucks as they need the two points in order to tie up the standings with Calgary who are currently first in the Northwest division.

Anson Carter skated this morning in practice and will be back on his line with the twins tonight after missing the St. Louis game. Carter took a shot at the ankle a few games back but fortunately enough it caused only minor bruising. Carter and the twins' line have been playing exceptionally well, and they hope to continue rolling when they play Anaheim tonight in their second match-up against the Ducks this season. Game time is 7:00 pm on Sportsnet Pacific. Carter talks about his recovery and is excited to get back, check out the audio.

Following the Canuck practice, The Mighty Ducks hit the ice to work on a few drills. Their road trip started out well when they defeated the Sharks on Monday but went sour losing their last two game to Edmonton and Calgary. Tonight the Ducks are looking for a victory that could be a crucial in deciding whether they will grab a spot in the playoffs.
