Hyatt Regency Vancouver Donates to CFKF
01/05/06 - More than 20,000 people visited the Hyatt Regency Vancouver's festive Gingerbread Lane event, which featured a return visit by the world's Largest Gingerbread Man along with more than 30 individually crafted gingerbread houses. The event raised $6,745 for the Canucks for Kids Fund.
"It has been a tradition at Hyatt Regency Vancouver to have a Gingerbread Lane event each year as part of the holiday season," said Hyatt Regency Vancouver General Manager Rolf Osterwalder. "This year, we welcomed back our signature gingerbread piece of the World's Largest Gingerbread Man, who has proved to be one of our most popular guests at the hotel," continued Osterwalder. "In addition, we were delighted to help raise more than $6,700 for the Canucks for Kids Fund."
As in every year, visitors to Hyatt's Gingerbread Lane had the opportunity to vote for their favourite gingerbread creation. This year's People's Choice Award for the best gingerbread display went to Goldilock's Bakery whose winning creation was a replica of the Canuck Place Children's Hospice. And Starr Muranko of Vancouver was the event's lucky visitor who won a Valentine's Day package courtesy of Hyatt Regency Vancouver.
