MEASURING STICK TIME
12/09/05

Tonight the Canucks will see how they measure up to the Sens in their only match-up against Ottawa this season. Ottawa is not only the top team in the East but has the highest scoring line in the League. Spezza is ranked 2nd with 43 points and Alfredsson and Heatley are tied for 3rd with Staal and Thornton at 41 points. Tonight should be an interesting game since Ottawa is missing Martin Havlat from their lineup, who is out for most of the season with a dislocated right shoulder. Ottawa has won their last two games but can they keep it up when they play the Canucks who hold near perfect home standings of 12-1-0?

Tonight's game will also mark the 100th consecutive sell-out at home, in which the Canucks will give away hundreds of prizes throughout the game as a thank you to fans for their tremendous support. Game time is 7:00 on Sportsnet Pacific.

Nazzy looked good this morning after missing practice yesterday due to minor groin soreness. Today the media joked around with Brendan Morrison about the hype surrounding the game. They approached him with "so ....we heard there's a game tonight", Check out the audio clip.
