CANUCKS VS FLAMES - PART TWO

11/07/05

The Canucks played a tough game against the Calgary Flames on Saturday but couldn't quite get a goal to tie it up and push the game into overtime. As a result the Flames won 1-0 and are now standing at a record of 7-7-2. The Canucks are still managing to claim top spot of the Northwest division with a record of 10-3-2. The team will get another crack at the Flames tonight in Calgary for part two at 6:00.

To give you an update on the Canucks, Cloutier skated on Saturday by himself for the first time since he's been injured, and managed to come out for practice with the team on Sunday. McVicar and Green were re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose on Sunday, and McVicar will be called for back up in tonight's game. Green will stay in Manitoba because Bryan Allen's knee is recovering well and he will likely play in tonight's game.

The Canucks had an optional skate on Sunday and Assistant Coach, Barry Smith's sons, Maxl and Hutton came by to see their dad in action. Check out yesterdays practice photos and audio from this morning!
