In preparation for the only game against the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, the Canucks worked on taking shots at net, as well as drills to boost their defense. The Canucks will play without their star, Ed Jovanovski tonight, who although is disappointed about missing the game feels it's a good decision with the Olympics coming up. Jovanovski joined the rest of the Canucks at practice who were sporting the old vintage jersey's. Game time is 7:00 pm on Molson Canadian, Canucks Pay-Per-View. To find out how to order Click Here

The Canucks are not the only ones who have to step up their defense. The Maple Leafs are missing Bryan McCabe who has racked up the most points out of all NHL defenseman this season. Tonight's game between East and West brought more media then usual to General Motors Place. Anson Carter talked about playing a more open style tonight and Leaf coach, Pat Quinn feels his team is often underestimated. Have a listen to the audio clips.

Following practice, a press conference was held to announce the five new inductees to the BC Hockey Hall of Fame which included: former Canuck coach, Tom Renney, fomer Canuck player, Doug Bodger, and former Canuck trainer, Larry Ashley, along with former Canuck commentator, Bernie Pascall, and longtime WHL junior coach, Ernie McLean.
