Canucks Sign Defenceman Rob Davison

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the club has signed defenceman, Rob Davison. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Davison, 28, split the 2007-08 season between the San Jose Sharks and New York Islanders combining for two points (1-1-2) and 53 penalty minutes in 34 games played. In 195 career NHL games Davison has recorded three goals, 13 assists (3-13-16) and 270 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-3, 220 lbs. native of St. Catharines, Ontario was originally selected in the 4th round, 98th overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks.
