Canucks Sign Free Agent Centre Mark Cullen

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis today announced that the team has signed free agent centre Mark Cullen. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cullen, 29, joins the Canucks after playing 59 games last season with Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. Cullen recorded 47 points (16-31-47) and 61 penalty minutes with the Griffins in 2007-08. In 32 career NHL games with the Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks, Cullen has seven goals, nine assists (7-9-16) and two penalty minutes.

The 5-foot-11, 190 lbs. native of Moorhead, MN was originally signed by Minnesota as a free agent on April 8, 2002.
