McLean began re-writing the Canucks record books the following season, making 1,581 saves on 1,797 shots while his 63 games played lead the NHL. For his efforts he was awarded with his first trip to the NHL All-Star Game along with his first Cyclone Taylor Trophy as Canucks MVP.
