Canucks in China

We are All Canucks

Never has that statement been truer than right now. The Vancouver Canucks will be taking part in inaugural hockey schools in China over the next two weeks; the schools, presented by the Century Star Skating Club with support from the Canucks, will take place in Shenzhen and Shanghai, China, from August 10-19.

The camps will be conducted by Aaron Wilbur, managing director of the Coaches Site, and Michael Butler, program coordinator for BC Hockey. Both have been involved with the Canucks Centre of BC Hockey.

“I’ve had the pleasure of travelling to China for the past three years and working with Century Star on developing grassroots initiatives to grow the game in Mainland China,” said Wilbur. “The Canucks involvement is a historic first step in creating a connection with the game for the next generation of Chinese players.”

The Canucks make continual efforts to invest in the great game of hockey through communities all across British Columbia and are now excited to extend that investment with this unique opportunity in China.

Stay tuned for updates throughout the upcoming hockey camps.
