Canucks re-sign Peter Andersson

Vancouver, BC – Vancouver Canucks General Manager, Jim Benning announced today that the club has re-signed defenceman Peter Andersson.

Andersson, 23, registered 13 points (2-11-13) and 26 penalty minutes in 58 games for the Utica Comets during the 2013.14 season. It marked his second season in the AHL after spending the 2012.13 campaign with the Chicago Wolves, recording eight points (1-7-8) in 42 games.

On the international stage, the Kvidinge, Sweden native represented his country at the 2010 World Junior Championships, earning a bronze medal.

The 6’3”, 194-pound defenceman was originally selected 143rd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks.
