Outside the rink we go.

8:00 a.m. -- The New Kids On The Block are playing Rogers Arena tonight, so Vancouver's new kids on the block have an eventful day exploring Vancouver - they'll tackle the Grouse Grind this morning before a visit to the BC Children's Hospital in the afternoon.

Good morning! It's @BoHorvat and I'm about to tackle the @grousemountain - scary when you can't see the top! Any tips? #TellBoHo

9:30 -- And they're off!

Clip 1: The prospects begin Nature's Stairmaster -

11:30 -- Clip 2: Well that didn't take long at all. The players fight their way up the last bit of the grind -

3:30 -- A lot of smiles were to be seen at the BC Children's Hospital this afternoon as the prospects dropped in and visited children of all ages.

Hunter Shinkaruk meets 4-year-old Mady, who just had 3rd open heart surgery.

Six Canucks prospects and 10-year-old Trent. He's forgotten all about recovering from kidney failure while hanging out with the boys.

6-year-old Nicole is fighting kidney disease. She's got 7 Canucks cheering her on.

Here's @BrendanGaunce16 with his @VanCanucks prospect teammates alongside @BCCHF patient Kori. #allsmiles
