Three games in four nights, all on the road? No biggy.
The Vancouver Canucks won their fourth straight game Sunday night in Colorado beating the Avalanche 3-2 to closeout a three-game road trip a perfect 3-0-0.
It was a quick turnaround for the Canucks, who played Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles, so scoring the first goal was key and it came off the stick of Jason Garrison, on the power play, 5:18 into the first period.
The Avalanche tied the game at 1-1 later in the first, but that's all the offence Colorado would muster until late in the third period; in between Avalanche goals Mason Raymond and Alex Burrows scored their ninth and eighth goals of the season to put the Canucks up 3-1 in the second period.
In the dying moments of the third period Colorado snuck its second goal past Cory Schneider, who was brilliant making 26 saves; a frantic final few minutes had the Avalanche testing Schneider left and right, but he was up to the test winning his fourth straight start.
Vancouver hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets Tuesday night at Rogers Arena.
