Spin City Win

Mason Raymond's patented spin-o-rama goal was the difference in a 2-1 Canucks shootout win over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.

For the fourth straight game the Canucks gave up the opening goal , when Mark Letestu found himself alone in front at 3:04 of the second period for his 6th of the season.

Jason Garrison then drew a boarding penalty 15:57 into the middle frame. The Canucks built pressure throughout the man-advantage, with Garrison ripping a slap-shot through a Mason Raymond screen two seconds after the power-play expired.

Roberto Luongo was near-perfect in net making 26 saves, including stoning RJ Umberger all alone with 15 seconds left in regulation, for his first win since Feb. 22nd.

The Canucks end their three game road trip with three out of a possible six points are now return home to face the Nashville Predators on Thursday.
